1) Full Name: Elaine Rogers Madsen
2) Nicknames: Lainey
3) Where are you from? I am from St George. My family moved there when I was 15. and Darren and I met and got married there. We moved to Cedar City 11 years ago
4) How did you meet your spouse/significant other? Darren & I met when he was dating a good friend of mine at Dixie College. She moved to Texas...and a few months later went on our first date and the rest is history.
5) How long have you been together? This October will be our 26th anniversary
6) Do you have any children? We have 4 children. Darren Jr (DJ), is with us here in Cedar. Stephanie Lyn is married and lives with her husband Vance in Logan. She is finishing her degree this December in Computer Science, And Vance just graduated last December with a tri-major in Agricultural Business, Business, and Political Science. Michael Kurtis and his wife Mandy, live here in Cedar and Kurtis is a member of the CCFD. Mandy and her sister just started a photography studio "Model ME". Collin, our youngest is a junior next year at Cedar High School
7) What are some of your favorite hobbies? I love spending time with my family, reading, and all things crafty. I love to tole paint, sew, scrapbook, beading, crochet, anything that keeps my hands busy and create new things.
8) What are some of your talents? I have a talent for creative decorating and tole painting, I try to sing, however haven't done much recently. I have a talent for investigative accounting........ you can leave that off if you would like...... It makes me sound sick in the head!
9) What’s something about yourself that most people probably wouldn’t know? I have a fiery temper. According to Darren, I can be very passionate about things that get my goat. Don't cross my children, my family or my core values or I can be very feisty.
10)What’s your favorite color? probably Burgundy
11)Describe yourself in ONE word? creative.... Darren added one but since this is from me.... that's my word
12)Where do you work? I am an accountant at Kohler & Eyre CPA's
13)What is your favorite restaurant? Olive Garden
14)What is your dream vacation? Thats a hard one.....US History Tour, LDS Church History Tour, or a Family History tour in Great Britain as that is where most of my ancestors emigrated from. If I had to choose between them, I'd have to do some long hard thinking,.

4) How did you meet your spouse/significant other? My roomate was dating his friend/co-worker. They tried to set him up with my cousin, she thought he was too young and brought me along so it wouldn't be a date. So we all hung out in a group for a while until he finally asked me out by myself.
5) How long have you been together? 11years
6) Do you have any children? 2 boys -8 yrs, 7 yrs, and our little girl is 3yrs
7) What are some of your favorite hobbies? Reading, Softball and Basketball on occasion, Developing new ideas for teaching Spanish, camping and spending time with my family
8) What are some of your talents? Does taking naps really well count?
9) What’s something about yourself that most people probably wouldn’t know? I am always surprised when people think that I am quiet, because I SO am not, I kind of enjoy being obnoxious.

13)What is your favorite restaurant? depends on the day, Texas Roadhouse sounds really good right now.
14)What is your dream vacation? We went to Cancun last year, it was great, so return there and we also really want to go to Hawaii some day.
